2023 AFCON: “If we correct technical errors we can make an impact – Hon. Evans Bobbie

Evans Opoku Bobbie, the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports is optimistic about the Black Stars chances of having a strong influence at the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations competition, which will be held in Ivory Coast.

Evans Opoku Bobbie voiced his certainty that the team may perform remarkably well in the forthcoming competition by making careful preparations and attending to technical issues.

In a conversation on Akoma fm, Bobbie complained about the difficult qualification process.“It was very difficult, but in the end, we managed to secure qualification.” He emphasized the importance of the technical team assessing the team’s performance and making necessary corrections before the AFCON”he said.

With a spirited 2-1 victory over the Central African Republic in Kumasi, Ghana, the Black Stars recently sealed their qualification for the AFCON competition and took first place in their group.

The Black Stars are making their 24th participation at the AFCON competition, and they hope to snap a long championship winless streak that dates back to 1982.

Ghana has a record of been a four time Champions at the AFCON.
