35-year-old man beaten to death for allegedly stealing a motorbike

A 35-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death in Kabili, a suburb of Sampa, north of Jaman, Bono region, after stealing a motorbike.

According to the information provided, about a month ago, a young man stole a motorcycle in the locality and fled. Unbeknownst to him, a CCTV camera recorded his alleged theft. He returned to the community after a month but was recognized by a group of people in the neighborhood.

He was confronted and when asked where the motorbike was, he told them he had sold it. He was then stripped naked and allegedly beaten to death.

Police were later informed, but the attackers are believed to have fled the scene before they arrived. They therefore called on traditional leaders in the area to help them investigate the matter.

Meanwhile, the victim’s body has now been moved to the morgue, awaiting an autopsy.
