WAFU WCL: Ampem Darkoa Ladies advance to final after 6-1 win over Sam Nelly FC
Ghanaian Champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies annihilated Togolese side, Sam Nelly Fc to advance to the final of the 2023 West African Football Union Zone B Women’s Champions League Qualifiers.
The ongoing qualifiers which is taking place at Nigeria is currently left with two teams to battle it out for the available slot to the finals to be held later this year.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies will look to replicate the feat achieved by Hasaacas Ladies FC two years ago for the second try after failing to make it out of the zonal qualifiers the last time.
Tracy Twum scored a hat tick and there were goals from Nancy Amoah, Ophelia Asamoah and Mary Amponsah to bring the tally to 6-1 against the Togolese side.
The game was held at the Benin City, Nigeria having earlier hosted the first semifinal tie which saw Delta Queens advancing to the final.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies will now face Delta Queens in the final to determine which side represent the zone in the ultimate Confederation of African Football Women’s Champions League third edition.
