GFA Awards: Hasaacas Ladies’ Grace Banwaa wins Goalkeeper of the Season Award

Goalkeeper Grace Banwaa has been named as the Goalkeeper of the Women’s FA Cup and Women’s Premier League Season in the Ghana Football Association Award after an impressive performance in both competitions.

Banwaa starred 16 times for Hasaacas Ladies in the Women’s Premier League and conceded eight goals and kept a season record high 10 clean-sheets churning out one assist in the process as the first goalkeeper in the competition to have done so.

She urged competition from Farahana Ziblim and Barikisu Ishahaku of Prisons Ladies and Police Ladies respectively.

The Hasaacas Ladies shot stopper was awarded at the rebranded Ghana Football Awards held at the UPSA Auditorium on Saturday, September 9, 2023.
