Daniel Amartey joins Turkish side Besiktas on a 3-year deal

Turkish Premier League side Besiktas has confirmed the signing of Ghana international Daniel Amartey for the 2023/24 season.

Amartey signs a three-year deal with the club which will see him stay until June 2026.

The Black Stars defender joins as a free agent after leaving English Premier League side Leicester City at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

The deal was confirmed by the club late on Friday, with a statement on their website.

“Our club signed a contract with Ghanaian defender Daniel Amartey as part of the transfer efforts for the 2023-24 season,” the statement read.

“We wish Daniel Amartey, who we believe will render important services to our club, great success with our glorious uniform, and present it to the public with our respect.”

Besiktas placed third in the 2022/23 Turkish League and are expected to play in the Europa Conference League next season.
