The pitch wasn’t too good – Semenyo on Baba Yara pitch

Antoine Semenyo has described the Baba Yara Stadium’s pitch as not too good in a presser on Wednesday, September 27, ahead of Bournemouth’s Carabao cup game against Stoke City.

The Ghanaian international came off the bench to aid Ghana’s 2-1 win against Central Africa Republic.

Ghana, already down by a goal came from behind with goals from Mohammed Kudus and Ernest Nuamah to turn the tie on its head for a 2-1 win; Semenyo, the promoter of the second goal.

In a conversation with his Club, Bournemouth, the attacker proclaimed a rather shocking revelation that the Baba Yara pitch was bad in shape though he enjoyed coming off the bench to assist the match winner.

“That was a good game, that was a tough game, the opposition was too good[the pitch wasn’t too good], they surprised us. I am happy because I came on and provide the assist for the winner so I can’t complain”.

When he was asked whether he’s looking forward to the finals in Cote D’Voire next year:

“It is going to be tough, and I look forward to that, I am ready to embrace that challenge”.

“For my family it’s big, my dad played in Ghana years ago. It’s nice to represent for my family and friends and it’s big” – he told Bournemouth media.
