Photos: Black Stars begin training ahead of international friendlies

The Black Stars of Ghana have begun camping and training ahead of the international friendlies against Mexico and USA.

As part of the preparation for the opening match against Mexico, the team trained at the Charlotte FC training facility on Tuesday night.

The Black Stars will take on Mexico on Saturday, October 14, 2023 as their first friendly game.

They players who trained are; Salis Abdul Samed, Gideon Mensah, Joseph Aidoo, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Alidu Seidu, Kingsley Schindler, Nicholas Opoku, Stephen Ambrosius, Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, and Richard Ofori,Antoine Semenyo, Ernest Nuamah, Ransford Konigsdorffer, Jordan Ayew, Elisha Owusu, Inaki Williams, Edmund Addo and Thomas Partey.

Tariq Lamptey, Daniel Amartey, Alexander Djiku, and Osman Bukari were unfortunately had to withdraw from the two friendlies due to injuries.

Stephan Ambrosius, Jerome Opoku, and Kingsley Schindler have taken their places.

These friendlies serve as a prelude to next month’s 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Madagascar and Comoros.

On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, Ghana will play hos against the United States of America.
