Black Stars hold final training session ahead of USA clash
The Black Stars of Ghana have held their final training session in preparation for their friendly match against the United States of America.
Medeama SC defender Abdul Fatawu Hamid, also trained with the team after a club assignment with reigning Betpawa Ghana Premier League Champions Medeama.
The game will take place in Nashville, Tennessee at GEODIS Park.
The Black Stars are looking forward to bounce back after the El TRI of Mexico handed them a 2-0 defeat,the first under the management of Chris Hughton.
Joseph Aidoo, who had an ankle injury against Mexico in the opening friendly game at the Bank of America, was absent as he has been asked to join his club Celta Vigo for treatment.
Meanwhile Black Stars Head Coach Chris Hughton is looking forward to pick a win against USA.
“It is exactly the same message for the players. What we don’t want is to leave this international camp with two poor results.The result of that is always you are looking for reaction from the team in the second game.”Coach Chris Hughton said told the media.
The friendly matches are part of Ghana’s preparations towards the November 2026 World Cup qualifiers and the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
