Asamoah Gyan rather won the case – Baffuor Gyan explains
Baffour Gyan has expressed amazement at the public’s view of the court’s ruling on the legal battle between Asamoah Gyan and his ex-wife.
In a radio interview following the court’s decision on Tuesday,Baffuor Gyan stated that it is more like Asamoah Gyan’s victory.
According to him, Asamoah Gyan petitioned the court approximately five years ago to have the marriage annulled because Gifty had misled Asamoah Gyan by lying to him about her prior marriage and not being divorced.
He further added that some the properties to be given to Asamoah Gyan’s ex-wife were already registered in her name.
“My brother’s wife had already been married and he sent it to the court to annul it. We received the ruling to the effect that the lady deceived my brother.
“The properties in the lady’s possessions were gifts from Asamoah Gyan and the court asked that she keep it. Her lawyers had wanted $ 1 million and more but the court denied their request.”Baffuor Gyan explained.
“Asamoah Gyan has been in contact with his children throughout this case and has been taking care of them so the GH¢25,000 a month support to the children is no news.”he further emphasized.
The Accra court presided over by Hafisata Ameleboba also ruled that the of Gifty Gyan are also Asamoah Gyan’s children.
