Asante Kotoko Captain Richard Boadu has joined Libyan outfit Al Ahly on a perrmanet deal subject to medicals.

The Club has revealed on Friday, July 28, 2023 that a deal has been reached with Libyan side, Al Ahly regarding the sale of the midfielder.

Asante Kotoko can confirm that it has reached an agreement with Libyan side Al Ahly SC for the transfer of midfielder and Club Captain, Richard Boadu, on a permanent deal subject to medicals.

The skipper, whose football career began with our youth side, rejoined the club in September 2021, playing an integral role in the club’s Premier League triumph in the 2021/2022 season.

Boadu was named Club captain at the start of the 2022–2023 season, having shown resilience, commitment, and stellar performances in his debut season with the club.
