Richard Senanu joins Legon Cities

Former Asante Kotoko and Nations FC talent Richard Senanu has joined Legon Cities FC on a two-year deal.

After he was released by Asante Kotoko, the midfielder signed for Nations FC in January 2022, which was known as the Bekwai Youth Football Academy in January 2022.

Senanu’s stay at Asante Kotoko was cut short by a serious anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, which made him surplus to requirements for the squad.

The 29-year-old suffered the injury in a CAF Confederation Cup qualifying match against Coton Sport in 2018. He was flown to Germany for surgery and had to be sidelined for almost two years.
