Army Ladies defeat Hasaacas Ladies to lift Women's Super Cup trophy

Army Ladies defeated Hasaacas Ladies to win the 2023 Women’s Super Cup for the first time in their history.

Army Ladies won the third iteration of the competition with a 2-1 victory  on Sunday at the Kyebi Astro Turf.

Latiffa Mohammed  scored after only two minutes of play in the game,to  give the Accra-based team an early advantage.

However, Hasaacas Ladies equalized the score 14 minutes following Fidous Yakubu’s game-changing penalty kick goal.

With nine minutes remaining in the game, Harriet Adjetey scored to make the score 2-1 in favour of Army Ladies. The score remained the same till the final whitsle to give Army Ladies  their first championship victory  since the competition’s debut in 2021.

They are now the third team to have won the  Women’s Super Cup   after   Hasaacas Ladies (2021) and Faith Ladies (2022).
