Asante Kotoko sign Samuel Asamoah from Tano Bofoakwa

Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of defender Samuel Asamoah from Ghana Premier League returnees Bofoakwa Tano on a 3 year deal.

The young enterprising right back is joining Kotoko ahead of the 2023/24 after helping Bofoakwa Tano to gain qualification to the elite stage of Ghana Football after close to two decades in Division One.

Asamoah’s signing makes the number of new players brought in by coach Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum to 6, after announcing the signing of Yahaya Dawuni from Susubiribi, Nanabayin Amoah from Vipers, former Legon Cities midfielder Andrews Ntim Manu, Kalo Ouattara and Henry Ansu from Berekum Chelsea respectively.

Official statement from the club confirming the signing of the right back reads;

We’re delighted to confirm the signing of right-back Samuel Asamoah from Bofoakwa Tano on a contract running until 2026.
