Ballon d’Or is my target – Doris Boaduwaa

Ghanaian International, Doris Boaduwaa has revealed she’s targeting the Ballon d’Or in her latest media interview after aiding Spartak Subotica to the round two of the Union of European Football Association Women’s Champions League.

The former Hasaacas Ladies forward has labeled she dreams of winning the French flagship individual award and would love to see a Ghanaian mount that podium.

“I dream of winning the Ballon d’Or” – she told Onua Sports.

“I believe a Ghanaian should mount that podium, you need to have the believe, because I do believe, that when they mention those top awards scheme, a Ghanaian will be part of it” – she added.

Prior to her move Doris Boaduwaa had led Hasaacas Ladies to five titles including the West Africa Football Union Zone B Champions League.

She was nominated for the CAF Interclub Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year in 2021 after helping Hasaacas Ladies to the final of the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Doris Boaduwaa has had an incredible sail into the European scene following her debut in the UWCL where she scored to aid Subotica’s wins against Ljuboten and KuPS.

She has currently scored three goals in two games for Spartak Subotica in the UEFA Women’s Champions League and is currently three goals away from entering the Club’s top six scorers in the tournament.

Subotica is currently aiming to enter the group stage for the first time in the tournament and would be involved in the draw on Friday, September 15, 2023.
