Evelyn Nsiah Asare in line for SWAG Vice President position
Chief Executive Officer of Hasaacas Ladies Football Club, Madam Evelyn Nsiah Asare Owusu has placed herself in contention for the position of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana Vice President.
The experienced sports journalist and administrator[Evelyn Nsiah Asare Owusu] has competition from incumbent, Maurice Quansah for the coveted position and a deputy to celebrated, Kwabena Yeboah, the Writer who is running unopposed for the president position.
The SWAG Elections is scheduled for October 21, 2023 will be the 23rd edition since the emergence of the welfare body of Sports Broadcasters in Ghana.
Madam Evelyn Nsiah Asare Owusu, a Lecturer at Sunyani Technical University is among the erstwhile Board of Directors of arguably Ghana’s most successful football club, Asante Kotoko Sporting Club.
She has in the past served on various committees of the Ghana Football Association including Ghana Women’s youth teams and the senior women’s teams.
She’s among the only three women up in the contest to serve in leadership position at SWAG in a competition of 17.
The General Secretary position will be held by Charles Osei Assibey, the incumbent, who’ll be running unopposed.
