The 2023 Ghana Football Association Elections is set to take place on October 5, 2023 in Tamale after the GFA rescheduled if from the initial date of September 27,2023.
Gifty Oware-Mensah who joins the race for the first time will be going unopposed for the only slot allocated for Women’s Football in this year’s elections.
The astute politician cum football administrator who has curved a niche for her self in football administration is expected to complement the works of the GFA President Kurt Okraku in getting women football to the highest point.
Women football under the Kurt E.S Okraku Administration has received a massive improvement from Sponsorship, Promotion, Support for teams and other technical support for coaches and administrators.

Her strategic mind set is evident in her roles, including Deputy Executive Director of the Ghana National Service Scheme, overseeing 140,000 graduates annually.
Gifty’s leadership extends to her Vice President position at Berekum Chelsea and Vice Chairperson role for the Women’s League Super Cup, catalyzing unprecedented growth.
