GFA Elections: James Kwesi Appiah secures ExCo slot

The Ghana Football Association Elective Congress sees one new entry as former Black Stars Head Coach, James Kwesi Appiah secured a slot to represent the betPawa Premier League on the Executive Council as one of the five elected.

Ten individuals contested for five places on the Executive Council including Frederick Acheampong who had 11 votes, Dr.Tony Aubynn, Kingsley Osei Bonsu, Nana Sarfo Oduro, Dr.Randy Abbey, James Kwesi Appiah, Elleony Amande, Asenso Boakye,Edmund Ackah and Ralphael Dwamera.

After the Elections, Dr.Randy Abbey, Frederick Acheampong and Nana Sarfo Oduro secured 12,11,10 votes respectively to maintain their position on the GFA Executive Council.

New entrant James Kwesi Appiah securing 10 votes.

Kingsley Osei Bonsu had 12 votes to earn the last spot on the Executive Council after a run- off with Elleony Amande.

The council, as a committee of the GFA, will have the power to approve and issue policies of the GFA for the next four years.
