GFA postpones BARFA Chairmanship Election

The Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association Chairmanship election has been postponed indefinitely by the Ghana Football Association’s Elections Committee due to security concerns.

The District Police Command’s security recommendations led to the postponement of the election, which was originally set for Friday, October 7, 2023.

In an official statement, the GFA confirms the news”The elections committee of the Ghana Football Association has postponed indefinitely,the Bring Ahafo Regional Football Association Chairmanship election on security grounds.Thw elections which was scheduled for Friday, October 7, 2023 was postponed due to security advice from the District Police Command” the statement reads.

After former Chairman Ralph Gyambrah decided to resign, Dr. Charles Osei Anto and Meshack Asante Ameyaw are challenging Vice Chairman Dickson Kyere Duah for the position.

The Brong Ahafo Regional election will shortly have a revised date announced by the Ghana Football Association in collaboration with the Elections Committee.
