Ghana Premier League: Holders Medeama SC suffer 2-0 defeat at Aduana Stars
Reigning champions of the betPawa Premier League, Medeama Sporting Club were at the end of a suffocating 2-0 defeat to Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park on match day two on Sunday, September 24, 2023.
The winless run of the title holders, Medeama SC continued after two games into the season after a 2-2 draw on match day one against Accra Lions while Aduana Stars entered the fixture after match day one slim defeat to FC Samartex 1996.
Bright Adjei commenced his goal buildup by opening the score cards on the 50th minute for the former Champions, Aduana Stars after a quieter first half where both teams failed to hit the back of the net.
The newly named skipper of the side, Bright Adjei conjured another which was latched on Gabriel Akwasi Mensah to make the scoreline 2-0.
Medeama pounded the surface yet the tie ended 2-0 for the host, Aduana Stars.
