GNPC’s feasibility studies reveal 43 percent of Ghana’s landmark contain oil – Executive Director

The Executive Director of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation Foundation, Dr. Dominic Eduah has disclosed that about 43 percent of Ghana’s landmark contains oil per a feasibility studies conducted by the company.

A team led by the Executive Director of GNPC Foundation, Dr. Dominic Eduah has commission the newly built six unit classroom block at Atobiase, at the Wassa East District.

During his speech he made mention of a visibility studies that show that Ghana has over 43 percent of its landmark containing oil and the team have already began testing from the north.

“We have done justice to Western Region, because the oil is drilled here[Western Region], we’ve deliberately given 30 plus percentage of the funds available to the foundation to help improve infrastructure and other needful things for the region.

“Also, it is worth noting that our feasibility studies show that about 43 percent of the landmark in Ghana have oil in them. It is therefore clear that we might not only drill oil from the sea but we could be getting oil from the land.

“We have started testing from the Northern part of Ghana and soon will get down here in the Southern parts”.

Dr. Dominic Eduah was speaking at the GNPC’s commissioning of 6 unit classroom block at Wassa Atobiase Basic School on Thursday, August 24, 2023.

The new six unit classroom block has a seating capacity of 216 seats with each of the six classrooms having two sealing fans, and has an electrical installation to help with studies even at dark time.
