Goldstar Air In Collaboration With Nsor’s Family Supports Gowrie-Tingre D/A Kg/Primary Schools In Bolga
Wholly owned Ghanaian airline, Goldstar Air in collaboration with Nsor’s family donated learning materials comprising exercise and textbooks to Gowrie-Tingre D/A Kg/Primary Schools in Yorongo, Bolgatanga in the Upper East region.
Engineer Moses Nsor presented the items with his two children Jonathan Yeniboya Nsor and Hannah Embow Nsor on November 9, 2023. The donation forms part of the experience aircraft engineer’s social responsibility to give back to his village, as well as Goldstar Air’s corporate social responsibility and were received by the headmistress of the school, Mrs. Ayibasa Modesta Awingura and assistant Ms Florence Atanga and other staff of the school.
The headmistress of the school Mrs. Ayibasa Modesta Awingura thanked the Nsor’s family and Goldstar Air on behalf of the staff and school children. She also prayed for success for the donors and appeal for more help for the library especially from year three to six, desktop computers for their information and communication technology as well Junior High School library building with textbooks.
Engineer Nsor noted that government alone cannot shoulder all the responsibilities facing the country hence there is a need to join hands in helping to alleviate the burden, hence the collaboration and promised to be back soon with more learning materials to fill the school’s library for year three to six and also make provision for the Junior High School library.
Engineer Nsor expressed worry about the way the school children in rural areas are being deprived of quality education, but at the end they all sit in one examination hall to write the same examination with their colleagues in the urban areas. This made it difficult for rural students to compete with those in the cities due to their poor academic foundations. Children must not be denied of quality education, if truly we want to create a better society for them.
