GPL: Legon Cities appoint Paa Kwesi Fabian as Head Coach

Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities have announced the appointment of former Aduana stars coach Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabian as new Head Coach according to a statement from the Club.

Coach Paa Kwesi Fabian guided Aduana Stars to placed second in the 2022/22 Betpawa Ghana Premier League.

He comes in as a direct replacement for former Coach Maxwell Konadu who left the club at the end of the 2022/23 league to join Nsoatreman.

A statement from the  clubs reads;

Legon Cities FC is pleased to announce Paa Kwesi Fabin will become head coach of the team from the beginning of the 2023/24 season.

Coach Fabin will begin his new role on 1 August 2023 with details on his contract to be revealed soon.

Deputy CEO Kwabena Onyina Asenso said:

“We are excited to bring in an experienced coach like Fabin. He is a winner who has coached many big clubs at the highest level. We will provide him all the necessary support to succeed here. We are looking forward to having a wonderful season together.”

The 64-year-old has several seasons of experiences in Ghana with handling clubs like Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, Inter Allies, Hearts of Lions and most recently Aduana Stars.

He handled Ghana Youth sides as well as Uganda’s U17 and U20 side.

More details will be provided at his unveiling ceremony.
