Hearts’ performance don’t reflect investments – Togbui Afede XIV

Hearts of Oak’s Executive Board Chairman, Togbui Afede XIV, has  lamented over  the team’s dismal start to the Ghana Premier League season.

According to him, investments made into the team are not yielding results.

The President of the Asogli Traditional Area and Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, expressed his displeasure with the team during today’s Annual Chieftancy General Meeting.

“Unfortunately, performances have not reflected the investments we have made. We have made significant investments in very difficult financial times. If you look at the squad, we have quality all round. We have invested in quality center backs, and in other areas of the team as well. But it is disappointing to note that the performances have not been what we expected” he said.

He however expressed optimism that performances will improve.

”We are however confident that the investments we have made will start delivering in no time. We have absolute faith in the technical team that the performances and the results will improve.” he added.

Under new coach Martinus Koopman, Hearts Of Oak have won just one of four games in the 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League.Hearts Of Oak are 13th on the Betpawa Ghana Premier League table with 4 points out of a possible 12.
