Ismail Abdul Ganiyu drags TP Mazembe to FIFA

Ismail Abdul Ganiyu, a former Asante Kotoko defender, has officially complained to FIFA about a financial matter involving his current club,TP Mazembe.

The signing-on payments for Ganiyu, who signed a 2-and-a-half-year contract with TP Mazembe in February 2023 after leaving Kuwaiti club Al Talaba, have not been paid.

African football specialist Micky Junior claims that Ganiyu’s sign-on costs were not paid by the Congolese team, which prompted him to request FIFA’s involvement.

The defender gained attention while playing for the now-defunct Wa All Stars, which facilitated his transfer to Karela United of the Ghana Premier League.

In 2018, he made a huge move to Asante Kotoko, where he enjoyed three successful seasons on the field.

In the 2021/22 season, Ganiyu won the coveted Ghana Premier League while playing for the Porcupine Warriors, demonstrating his skill on the field.
