KRC Genk reject £6 million from Al Wehda for Joseph Paintsil

Joseph Paintsil’s Belgian club KRC Genk have declined an offer for him from Saudi Pro League team Al Wehda FC

The Black Stars winger received an official offer from Saudi Arabia of about €6 million, but Genk rejected it right away because it was under their estimation.

Al Wehda is to eager to sign the Ghanaian international before the transfer window closes and is anticipated to make a better offer for Genk and the striker from Ghana.

Paintsil played a key role for the Blue-White last season, scoring 18 goals and dishing out 14 assists in 39 games across all competitions.

Southampton had previously targeted Paintsil, and they still have interest in signing him before the transfer window shuts.

The Saints were looking to agree a swap deal in which Paul Onuachu would have moved to Genk and Paintsil to the English second-tier team.

According to the Athletic,Leeds United have official made sent a £10million to KRC Genk for Joseph Paintsil.
