Kudus’ agent reveals why Chelsea deal fell through

Mohammed Kudus’ agent Jennifer Mendelewitsch has revealed why Chelsea could not sign Kudus despite reaching personal terms with the player in this  summer’s transfer window.

Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus,  was apparently on the verge of signing a  contract with Chelsea however, both sides could not reach an agreement.

The transaction could not be completed because Chelsea as a club were not willing to  satisfy  Ajax’s demand of €40 million, according to his agent Jennifer Mendelewitsch.

Mendelewitsch claimed in an interview with RMC that Chelsea had declined Ajax’s offer to accept payment of only half the asking price thus, €20.

West Ham United then showed keen interest and consented to pay Ajax’s demands, successfully completing the acquisition of the gifted Ghanaian midfielder.

Kudus has had a solid debut since joining West Ham, scoring three goals despite getting little playing time.

In five games, he has not yet made a full starting appearance in the  Premier League for the hammers but in his cameo appearances,  he has played 72 minutes on the field and scored one goal.

He has made two starting appearances in the UEFA Europa League and has two goals to his name.
