Morocco emerge as host for AFCON 2025

Confederation of African Football has announced Morocco as the host for the 2025 edition of the African Cup of Nations in a ceremony held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

The Moroccan Federation beat competition from Nigeria and Benin, Algeria and Zambia to secure the slot to host the Cup of Nations.

16 December 2022 was the deadline for Member Associations to submit their final bid, including all bidding and hosting documents (hosting agreement, host cities agreement, Government guarantees)

CAF made the final inspection from 20 March–2 April 2023 and finally concluded on Morocco.
