Robbers attack Legon Cities after defeat to FC Samartex
Legon Cities have been attacked by armed robbers on the Bibiani – Kumasi highway as they made their way back to Accra following a betPawa Premier League game on Wednesday afternoon against Football Club Samartex 1996.
The Accra-based side suffered a humbling 3-0 defeat to the Timber Giants on match day eight of the topflight league and on their return met armed robbers who took “everything” from them as described by Nicholas Opoku to kickgh.
“There are no casualties but they took everything from us,” player, Nicholas Mensah told Kickgh.
“Commiserations to @LegonCitiesFC, who suffered an armed robbery attack last night on their way back from Samreboi.
They lost all their phones, an unspecified amount of money and two laptops.
