Rui Vitoria: Egypt Coach admits Ghana threat after AFCON draw

Head Coach of the Pharaohs of Egypt Rui Vitória says Ghana will be a tough opponent for Egypt in the African Cup of Nations.

The Pharaohs were put in Group B with Ghana, Cape Verde, and Mozambique during Thursday night’s draw in Abidjan, where they discovered their opponents.

“We are in a strong group with teams that have very good players. Ghana are fierce competitors for the title but we are Egypt and ready.”Rui Vitória said after the draw.

The Black Stars will play their first group stage game on January 14 against Cape Verde and  four days later take on the Pharaohs of Egypt.

 Egypt are the continent’s most successful country at the African Cup of Nations winning the trophy seven times.
