There is nothing like rebuilding at Asante Kotoko – Joe Debrah

Former Asante Kotoko player Joe Debrah says Kotoko is a result oriented club and doesn’t sign young players who aren’t ready to perform, but rather signs experienced players who are can always help the team to win games.

His remarks come after the club’s sluggish start to the 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League campaign.Debrah maintains that his former club’s ethos has never been one of rebuilding.

“There is never a rebuilding at Kotoko. Kotoko is a team that has players who are ready from the start of the league. So, when the league starts, we just take off,” he told Kumasi-based Kessben FM.

“So, if the coaches and people say we are rebuilding, we are watching,” he added.

Meanwhile Head Coach Prosper Nartey Ogum and attacking midfielder Baba Yahaya have pleaded with fans to be patient while they do their part to get the best of results.

Asante Kotoko has so far managed two draws, one loss, and no victories in the current Betpawa Ghana Premier League campaign.
