Ultimate Car Rentals, Spice FM record massive turnout at Breast Cancer Screening Exercise

Ultimate Car Rentals and Spice 91.9 FM October 13, 2023 Breast Cancer Screening exercise at the Jubilee Market, Takoradi saw an unprecedented turnout as hundreds of market women and the General public came through to check the status of their breast health.

The breast screening exercise which is part of the annual breast health examination in the month of October saw Bethel Methodist Medical Center and Curaé Foundation teaming up with support from Spice FM and Ultimate Car Rentals.

This year’s edition saw an improved turnout as 194 women turned up, 34 more than last year’s edition.

Victoria Quansah an enrolled nurse surmised that though “hereditary factors are a major cause for breast cancer, lifestyle; any cancerous or intoxicated substances that enter the body may create such abnormality in the breast” – as a caution to the participants.

Ten participants recorded abnormalities and Madam Victoria Quansah explained that these cases will be referred for further checks and scans are expected to aid a thorough review of the cases – “they will be diagnosed after the scan report is ready and whether to know if it’s cancerous or not”.

Ultimate Car Rentals Business Development Manager, George Duah alluded to the fact that the Takoradi-based car rental company is overly excited to be a part of such worthy activity and look forward to supporting again.

“For us it has been a clarion call to be a part of such an opportune event to give back to the community as well as support a great cause. We acknowledge the role such event do to people in the community and being part gives us joy.

“We will follow up with the ten cases and see what next we have to aid”.

Spice FM have held this event for the last four years and each time Ultimate Car Rentals have been key partner to aid the fruitful cause.
