NPP Super Delegate Congress: Kennedy Agyapong to face DC over public outburst

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency, is due to appear before the New Patriotic Party Disciplinary Committee along with four other party members for alleged misbehavior. The disciplinary committee’s membership has therefore been made public.

In a statement issued by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong he reiterates that the party is committed to upholding the democratic values, accountability and the highest standards of conduct.

“We are confident that this disciplinary process will be conducted with fairness, transparency, and impartiality.”he said.

The Assin Central lawmaker will appear before the Committee “to provide responses and further details to the accusations and threats he made against certain personalities in a video that has since gone viral on social media and mainstream media,” according to a statement released on Sunday, August 27 following the NPP Super Delegates Conference.

There are 7 other members of the Disciplinary Committee, which is headed by Minister of Roads Kwasi Amoako-Atta namely;Hon Kwasi Amoako Atta (Chairman),Dr. Gladys Norley Ashitey,Mabel Sarpong,Robert Kutin Jnr,Ing. Akwasi Abeasi,Hon.Patrick Boamah,Hon. Sheila Bartels and Mr. Kwaku Osei Asare.
