English FA overturns Sulemana red card after Southampton’s appeal

The English Football Association has overturned the controversial red card given to Ghanaian international Kamaldeen Sulemana in last Saturday’s Championship following a Southampton appeal.

Deep into stoppage time on September 16th, the Ghanaian international was dismissed for a challenge on James Justin in a game against Leicester City on Friday.

After fully recovering from an injury that had kept him out since the beginning of the new season, Sulemana was just making his first appearance of the season in the game last Friday.

When Southampton travels to the St Mary Stadium on Tuesday, September 19, they will have Sulemana in their lineup when they take on Ipswich Town after the red card decision was rescinded.
