Community Education Support Unit donates computers to Ankyernyin Basic School
Ankyernyin Basic school have received a donation in the form of two computers from the community education support unit and their Queen mother.
The initiative was motivated by the long term vision of the NGO and the community especially the Queen mother to improving computing or computer literacy in deprived communities.
The Queen mother affirmed her support to the initiative by funding the provision of the computers. The Ankyernyin Basic school however looks forward to having more computers as they had a target of 30 computers.
In her speech on the initiative Queen Mother of Ankyernyin Obaahema Aba Essoun II expressed concerns about the unavailability of power supply in the community. She however stated that she will liaise with other community leaders to help the community with electricity power so as to enable students of Ankyernyin Basic School make good use of the computers.
Obaahema Aba Essoun II also used the opportunity to call on former community members, benevolent associations and individuals to come to the support of the school and community at large.
