Connect FM 971 Countdown: Kinaata, Sally M Dominate Chart Again

Kofi Kinaata and Sally M have the top two songs leading the Connect FM 971 Count Down of the Top 10 Westside Songs for week 29 and week 30 as at July 29, 2023.

Connect FM’s 971 Countdown has seen Kinaata and Sally M grabbing the top two places for two weeks in a row as of Saturday, July 29, 2023.

For two weeks in a row Kofi Kinaata and Sally M have seen Effiakuma Love and Feeling charting number one and two respectively on the 971 Countdown Show.

Kofi Kinaata and the dominance of his latest release ‘Effiakuma Love’ in the Western Region is highly noticeable as he’s made the number one spot a bonafide property for six weeks.

With a combined four million and over streams on Africa’s two most used streaming and downloading platforms; Audiomack and Boomplay the four time VGMA Songwriter of the Year winner seems to have monopolized the industry in a manner that blows competition wide off his mark.

In the second position is Sally M, since joining the chart for the last three weeks, upon its release, Sally M, known by her birth name Sally Mugabe Hayfron has seen a monstrous rise of her new single which featured Ahkan, Feeling, rise to the number two spot and maintained its place for two weeks.

Feeling has picked positions on the Digital Streaming platforms in a manner that speaks high of the Artist, a combined close to 100,000 streams across all digital platform with Boomplay leading the pack with 60,000 and over streams under a month.

Sally M, joined Naana Blu as the only female artists on the chart, seen at 2 and 6 respectively.

Benjies’ ‘On The Go’, Aya RamzyB’s ‘Time Will Tell’ and Kweysi Swat’s Wonnye Nyame make up the Top five songs on the chart.

Helping to complete the chart for week 30 are Origee’s Economy Party at number 7, TC Clique’s Let me Love you at 8, Tycuun’s My Redeemer Lives and Semenhyia’s Ekolome at 9 and 10 respectively.
