Aziz Nurudeen: Hearts’ midfielder sets double as minimum target

Abdul Aziz Nurudeen, midfielder for Accra Hearts of Oak, has revealed that failure to win the BetPawa Ghana Premier League and FA Cup at the end of the season will be a complete catastrophe.

In their opening home game of the year, they defeated Nsoatreman 1-0 thanks in large part to the midfield sensation, who also won Man-of-the-Match.

“Our ultimate goal is to take the league trophy and the FA Cup. If we don’t take it, it is a total failure because you can see the work that the Board Chairman has done by bringing in new players and giving us the basic things we need.

“We are in Pobiman and living well. With all this, and we don’t win the league title, and the FA Cup is a total failure and disaster,” he said in the post-match briefing.

Nurudeen added that it was a fantastic feeling to be back in action for the Phobians and more importantly, to secure their first victory of the season. Nurudeen missed the entirety of last season due to injuries.

Especially after a dismal performance the previous season, Nurudeen reiterated that their goal for the season is to win the double.

In match week three of the Betpawa Ghana Premier League Accra Hearts of Oak will take on Bofoakwa Tano on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Sunyani Coronation Park.
