OFFICIAL: Basit Seidu joins Sudanese giants Al Hilal

Accra Lions FC striker, Basit Seidu has joined Sudanese club Al Hilal Omdurman ahead of the 2023/24 football season.

The 19 year old joined on a five year deal until 2028.

Club statement on social media reads; “Ghanaian striker Basit Seidu as a player for Al-Hilal for “5” years. Everyone in the crescent welcomes you Sido.”

The young prodigy had a fantastic season with the Blue-Blacks in the just ended Ghana Premier League campaign, having finished on a blistering note despite not being a starter at the early stages of the season.

He contributed to ten goals last season; scored 7 times and provided 3 assists in 23 appearances for James Francis men.

He will be mostly remembered for that stupendous individual performance against Medeama SC in the capital- a tie he netted a haul (4 goals) to power his side to a resounding 4-2 victory over eventual champions Medeama SC.

Basit Seidu will join countryman David Abagna Sandan who joined earlier this year from Real Tamale United (RTU) after a decent performance at the CHAN, but Imoro Ibrahim on the other hand, had to force for his contract to be terminated
